Description
One of the most popular tractors is the Mahindra 4540 utility tractor. This model features a Mahindra mCRD engine, which is a 4-cylinder, direct-injection water-cooled that has no diesel particulate filter giving you less complexity and means no operator involvement and cleaner exhaust emissions at a lower cost. It's available in 2WD and 4WD. The engine cracks out 41 (hp) horsepower at 2300 rpm.
The transmission is the same across the model range and positioned on the transmission hump between the operator's feet. Each lever, hardware, and the pedal is designed to be heavy-duty, unlike some competitors models. On the right side of the floorboard you'll find a ratchet lock parking brake lever, right heel differential lock, foot throttle (there is a hand throttle as well), and split brake pedals. On the left side, you'll find the clutch pedal and a pull up/push down 2WD/4WD lever. It's all outlined by rubber anti-slip mats.
The loader of the Mahindra 4540 offers a quick attach skid steer loader couplers and are standard on all 4500 series tractors. This allows for ultra-fast front implement attachment.
One of the most well known features is the mComfort Mechanical Suspension Seat. It's designed for maximum comfort and convenience. The mComfort seats come equipped with a retractable seat belt, armrest, and rainwater drain as standard.
The rear of the Mahindra 4540 features a live PTO and three-point hitch. Mahindra offers a wide range of implements and accessories, including rotary mowers, blades, and rakes. You can also get post hole diggers, box blades, rotary brooms, snow blowers, and so much more. Some even feature a backhoe!
